How to use the Calendar

Using the Calendar

The Calendar is your central hub for planning and visualizing all of your broadcasts in AmplifyKit. It helps you keep track of what’s been sent, what’s in draft, and what’s coming up—all in one place.

Overview

You’ll find the Calendar under the main navigation. From here, you can:

  • View all sent and scheduled broadcasts
  • Add saved drafts to the calendar
  • Reschedule sent broadcasts by duplicating them as drafts
  • Drag and drop scheduled or draft broadcasts to a new date

Broadcasts are displayed by day, and multiple broadcasts on the same day are stacked vertically.

Adding a Broadcast to the Calendar

Click the + Add Broadcast button in the upper right of the Calendar view. You’ll be prompted to choose one of two options:

  • Add an existing Draft – Choose from saved broadcasts that haven’t been scheduled yet.
  • Reschedule a Sent broadcast – Duplicate a previously sent broadcast and choose a new date. This creates a new draft that you can later schedule.

After selecting a draft or rescheduling a sent broadcast, you’ll be asked to:

  • Pick a planned date (to appear in the calendar)

Whether you add an existing broadcast or reschedule a sent one, broadcasts added to the calendar remain in Draft status until you manually change them to Scheduled. They will not be sent to your subscribers until you schedule them.

Alternatively, you can click on the Add button that appears when you hover over a specific date in the calendar to add the broadcast on that date.

Drag and Drop

Once a broadcast is on the calendar, you can reschedule it by simply dragging it to a new date. This works for both Draft and Scheduled broadcasts.

Alternatively, to update the date of a broadcast from the Calendar, click on it, and the Broadcast detail will appear. Click on the Date and then choose a different date on the Update Broadcast Status window.

Rescheduling Sent Broadcasts

To reuse content you’ve already sent:

  1. Click + Add Broadcast
  2. Choose Reschedule a Sent broadcast
  3. Pick a previous broadcast from the list
  4. Set a new subject (optional) and planned date
  5. Click Reschedule Broadcast

This creates a draft copy of the broadcast with the same content and adds it to your calendar. You’ll still need to change its status to Scheduled before it is sent.

If you want to edit the contents of your newly created broadcast in Kit, make sure you follow these steps so you can use the blocks editor.

Changing a Broadcast from Draft to Scheduled

To schedule a broadcast for delivery:

  1. Click on any Draft broadcast from the Calendar to open Broadcast Details
  2. Click on the Draft label to show the Update Broadcast Status modal
  3. Click on the status dropdown and select Scheduled
  4. Choose:
  • Date
  • Time
  • Audience (All Subscribers, Segment, or Tag)
  1. Click Save Changes

Your broadcast will now be scheduled to send automatically on the date and time you selected.

Removing a Broadcast from the Calendar

To remove a Broadcast from the calendar, click on it, and the Broadcast detail will appear.

Click on the Date and then, on the Update Broadcast Status window, select Unset.

Notes

  • Drafts are never sent until their status is updated to Scheduled
  • You cannot create a new empty broadcast from scratch inside AmplifyKit. You'll have to do this in Kit.
  • AmplifyKit is designed to give you planning, visibility, and tracking for broadcasts you’ve already created in Kit.
